A fun and busy weekend.

This past weekend I went with Scotty to a swap meet up in Boise, Id. Let's just get it out right now, that is NOT a quick drive. Unfortunately the swap meet didn't hold up to all the expectations it had been given for antique car parts but still we made it a really fun trip. Nothing is more fun than a trip with your best friend. In downtown Boise they have an entire block of fun clubs, and places to find yummy food. We ate at a great Italian place, and then headed to the open roof to do a little people watching. It makes me really happy that it takes very little to talk Scotty into dancing with me...we do pretty good on the dance floor. The live band was so fun and they even let me up on the stage to play rock star for a few. Saturday after the swap meet we stopped and walked the grounds of a beautiful winery where they had an ongoing art sale and a band playing outside, it made for some beautiful wandering. Trying to not go back empty handed we stopped at another yard sale and unless you were in desperate need of a fondue pot, or a sleeping bag from 1967...there was nothin'. The weather was great and I'm looking forward to our next little jaunt.

Happy Birthday Aidan!

Aidan's birthday is coming up on September 25th so we gathered this past weekend to celebrate with family and friends. The theme was TRANSFORMERS so pretty much everything was Optimus Prime. We all went bowling and then back to my mom and dad's for food, cake and presents...oh yeah and the pinata. The kids had a blast and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The coolest present was an adult sized Optimus Prime helmet. When you put it on you could make your voice sound just like Optimus Prime. I'm not sure if Bry bought that for Aidan...or himself. ;)

The Latest and The Greatest

Yes, I know...it's about time. Everyone has been encouraging me to hop aboard the blogging train and seeing how fun everyone's has been I couldn't wait another minute. Our days fly by and lately I'm not even sure where they have gone. Working for the Department of Workforce Services we have recently gone to four 10 hour days, and though the Friday's off have been the best...Mon-Thurs sure are long. Halli will be turning 6 in December and just started Kindergarten last month, she pretty much thinks she owns the joint. She is really trying to jump into reading with both feet, I'm sure she'll catch on quickly. Syd will be four in November and her primary concern is which Princess she is going to be for the day. Her pre-school teachers love her as well as everyone who meets her and it appears she's going to be the family clown...she's kind of a sarcastic.

Syd's Story...a.k.a Cinderella

Excuse me...excuse me mom? Yes Syd, what do you need? I just need to listen to my songs, that will make me happy. She dances in the aisles and will belt out any one of the songs from High School Musical I or II and will do what it takes to make her sister or mom smile. She loves to copy her sister but mostly to prove that she's not a baby any more. Every day I tell her she may be getting bigger but she will always be my baby.

All About Halli

Where to start...she is loving being the big sister. She is so complimentary towards Syd and can't wait to teach her everything she knows. Aside from camping, hiking and fishing...I would have to say that learning is her favorite thing to do.
